Impact of Pretreatment on the Germinative Characters of Seeds of <i>Stereospermum kunthianum</i> Cham. (Bignonaceae) for Its Domestication in Chad

The objective of this research is to lift the dormancy seeds S. kunthianum in with a view domesticating them. In experiment we used soaking sulfuric acid for different durations (10 min, 30 min and 1 h). treated were sown transparent germinators. explants obtained then transplanted into pots containing five types substrate (black earth, fine sand, sawdust, mixtures 1/1 sawdust/black earth sawdust/fine sand). This second test made it possible determine rate germination on substrate. results compared those control showed clear reduction latency time or (62 hours) instead 6 days (control), 3 days/7 (control) very high (100%). At 5% threshold, 10 (100%) best result seeds. Soaking hour gives (7%) low. After transplantation explants, percentages independently treatments show that (75.19%), black (73.33%) sand (66.30%) have higher performance than others. type epigeal. work makes domesticate Chad.
